    VitalQIP's High Performance Domain Name System (DNS) Server
  • Interoperability - supports Incremental Zone File Transfer across UNIX and Windows platforms; integrates with Lucent DHCP server to support Dynamic DNS per RFC 2136
  • Secure dynamic updates – captured from VitalQIP software with Kerberos authentication
  • Administration – change DNS options on multiple domains simultaneously; specify DNS options without opening each domain individually
  • Windows client capture - Lucent DNS server updates the VitalQIP database with Microsoft clients registering themselves in DNS for added consistency and accuracy of DNS information
  • High availability - supports primary and secondary servers
  • DNS server support – any BIND-compliant DNS server
  • DNS Views – present different query answers to different clients, e.g. internal and Internet hosts 
     
Network Services (Remote) Agent

Provides an architected solution to move configuration data between the QIP Enterprise Server and many DNS and DHCP Servers across a network.

  • No external utilities are required
  • No logging in to remote systems is required
  • Can handle DNS and DHCP configuration information
  • Creates configuration files that can be read by VitalQIP's DNS and DHCP servers as well as many others
